Broadband Low-cost Reflectarray based on a New Phase Synthesis Technique and a Class of Cross Bow-Tie Cells

In this paper, a class of Bow-tie unit cell on FR4 substrate is designed and investigated to be used in implementing single-layer broadband Reflectarray Antenna (RA). the analyzing step, two different parameters (length angle) grounded Cross Bow-Tie (CBT) are varied obtain phase diagrams. Various degrees freedom CBT structure very helpful designing RA. antenna design procedure, an efficient synthesis technique applied minimize adverse effects frequency dispersion causing by differential space delay at frequencies. This optimizes metallic CBTs arrangement aperture RA, reduces dependency RA CBT’s variation. Consequently, combination behavior leads with good response. addition to, Side Lobe Level (SLL) resultant reduced remarkably. For validation obtained numerical results, fabricated 8.7~12.3GHz bandwidth. The measurements show 27.03 dB as maximum gain value 10.2 GHz 1.5dB bandwidth 34%.
